Inspection and maintenance on your slewing bearing

General bearing condition:

The evaluation of the general bearing condition is the first step and basic building block of an inspection.

We check and evaluate: installation situation / outer contours, seals, lubrication system / lubrication condition, rotational behavior / running noise, degree of contamination.

Wear Assessment

Slewing bearings are safety-relevant wear parts. Consequently, they have to be checked regularly. The specified wear limits should not be exceeded. We use application-specific measuring methods. The history of inspection results gives a trend behavior that is taken into account in the maintenance concept and spare parts management.

Our methods at a glance: Motion measurement (tilting backlash measurement), lowering measurement, gear tooth measurement.

Additional gear evaluations: Contact pattern, tooth flank clearance, pinion, crack inspection.

Lubricant testing

A slewing bearing is lubricated.

Lubricant analyses are also an important part of a bearing inspection. The analysis results provide information on the lubricant condition and any wear of the raceway system.

We offer: Taking lubricant samples in the installed condition, grease sampling sets, analysis of greases and oils, evaluation of submitted lubricant samples, evaluation of the lubricants used, including compatibility tests, preparation of maintenance concepts.

Bolts

The bolted connection is of elementary importance for the operational reliability and service life of the slewing bearing. Due to preload losses, bolts must be retightened regularly. If the condition of the bolts is not perfect, they have to be replaced.

We will be happy to provide assistance with bolt replacement.

We support you with: Checking for adequate bolt pretensioning, Bolt replacement, Complete service, including clamping tools.

Seal exchange

Seals protect the race system against external environmental influences such as dust and water and keep the lubricant in the bearing race system. Therefore, they must be checked regularly and replaced if damaged.

Our service package: removal of old seals, cleaning and degreasing of the seal seat, professional installation and joining of the new seal

Maintenance

Regular maintenance minimizes wear and tear and maximizes the service life of your bearing. Depending on the results, we recommend individual immediate measures and draw up specific maintenance plans.

Measures at a glance: Relubrication of the running system and gearing, seal change, inspection of the bearing mounting bolts.
