Bearing inspection and maintenance
Regular inspections and maintenance increase the operational reliability and service life of a slewing bearing. The availability of your plants will benefit from this.
We offer our service independent of any manufacturer. First of all, we evaluate the current condition of your bearing and identify the trend of wear. On the basis of this analysis, we then make a concrete statement as to how you can adapt your maintenance concept in a targeted manner. Finally, you will receive a highly informative inspection report with information on immediate measures, further use and a sophisticated service concept.
The evaluation of the general bearing condition is the first step and the foundation stone of an inspection.
We check and evaluate:
- Installation situation / external contours
- Sealing systems
- Lubricating system / lubrication condition
- Rotational behavior / running noise
- Level of contamination
Slewing bearings are safety-relevant wear parts. Consequently, they must be checked regularly. The specified wear limits must not be exceeded. We use application-related measurement methods. The history of the inspection results gives a trend behavior that is taken into account in the maintenance concept and spare parts management.
An overview of our processes:
- Movement measurement (tilt play measurement)
- Subsidence measurement
- Measuring the gearing
Additional gearing evaluations:
- Tragbild
- Backlash
- Pinion
- Crack testing
Regular maintenance minimizes wear and tear and maximizes the service life of your bearing. Depending on the result, we recommend individual immediate measures and draw up concrete maintenance plans.
Overview of measures:
- Relubrication of raceway system and gearing
- Seal change
- Checking the bearing fastening bolts
The bolted connection is of elementary importance for the operational reliability and service life of the slewing bearing. Bolts must be retightened regularly due to loss of preload. If the condition of the bolts is not perfect, they must be replaced.
We offer:
- Checking for adequate bolt pretensioning
- Bolt replacement
- Complete service, including clamping tools
Lubricant testing is also an important part of a bearing inspection. The analysis results provide information about the lubricant condition and possible wear of the raceway system.
We offer:
- Taking lubricant samples in installed condition
- Grease removal sets
- Analysis of greases and oils
- Evaluation of submitted lubricant samples
- Evaluation of the lubricants used, including compatibility tests
- Creation of maintenance concepts
