psl^® thin-section bearings – 4-point contact ball bearing

The Type X, or 4-point contact, ball bearing is ideal for moment loading. Type X bearings are designed with gothic arch raceways creating 4 contact points between the balls and the raceways.

This design is excellent for moment loading and reversing axial loading. The Type X bearing can be used for other light loading conditions, but is not recommended in place of the Type C or Type A bearing for pure radial or axial loads.

We can provide standard series dimensions ranging for

• cross section from 3/8”(9,53mm) up to 1”(25,4mm),

• bore diameter from 5,5”(140mm) up to 60”(1500mm)

with corresponding ball sizes and cages with pocket design, but as well we offer tailor‑made solutions engineered to meet your precise application dimensions and requirements.
