The answer lies in every single detail. A key component is the rollers, which serve as rolling elements. These are manufactured in-house using innovative technologies at thyssenkrupp rothe erde Italy S.p.A.’s facility.
Our In-House Production in Detail
We set high standards right from the start: peeled steel bars form the foundation for our rollers. The raw material undergoes strict inspections to ensure the high Rothe Erde quality. Through specialized surface requirements and targeted ultrasonic testing, we ensure that our raw materials are without irregularities – perfectly prepared for the subsequent production steps.
Our quality assurance is active at every stage: products with deviations from defined parameters never proceed to the next production phase. This ensures consistent quality throughout every step of the process. To achieve this, we rely on innovative technologies, such as DMC scanners, which allow us to trace each roller seamlessly. This approach provides for a very high level of precision and quality.
Transparency is a cornerstone of our work. Our traceability system, linked to our ERP system, stores all relevant data in real time. From dimensions to heat treatments – every relevant detail is assigned to a unique serial number. This enables us to ensure that respective production and customer requirements are met.
Thanks to fully automated processes, manufacturing is both efficient and precise – achieving an impressive tolerance of just 0.005 mm. For perspective, depending on its thickness, a human hair measures between 0.04 and 0.09 mm.
