Plant tours

School groups have the opportunity to visit our plant in Lippstadt. The plant in Lippstadt is the largest plant of thyssenkrupp rothe erde Germany GmbH and produces slewing bearings from 200 to 18,000 millimeters in series and one-off production. In order to be able to guarantee sufficient preparation of the visit, we ask you to make an inquiry no later than eight weeks before the desired date of the plant tour. The registration can only be made for one group by the teachers.

The tour of the factory takes about two and a half hours, and the group size should not exceed 20 participants. The guided tours are conducted or accompanied by our own trainees. The guided tour is free of charge.

Girls' Day

Girls' Day at thyssenkrupp Rasselstein

The Girls' Day is aimed at girls interested in technology from all types of schools, who are at least in the 7th grade. The aim of Girls' Day is to give the girls a practical insight into the technical professions at thyssenkrupp rothe erde Germany GmbH. On Girls' Day, the participants have the opportunity to create a stacking game in our training workshop. In this way, the girls are given the opportunity to learn about different processing steps, such as sawing, filing and drilling, and to carry them out independently.

Following the work in the training workshop, there is also the opportunity to take part in a plant tour. Since a maximum of 10 places are available for Girls' Day, if you are interested in attending please send your application including CV and a copy of your last reference to the following address:

Schoolchildren's WG

Technically interested schoolchildren of grades 8 and 9 have the opportunity to participate in a working group in our training workshop at the Lippstadt location. This takes place on 8 dates per semester, one time a week from 2:45 p.m. to 5 p.m. The exact day will be redefined for each student AG. Through the working group, the schoolchildren receive their first insights into the training professions of "industrial mechanic" and "cutting machine operator".

Under the supervision of our instructors and some trainees, for example, the participants learn how to read drawings, operate a lathe and assembly procedures during these days. This is taught by means of a wind turbine made of metal, which each participant builds independently. Participants are provided with all materials and work shoes. After the end of the working group, the participants have the opportunity to present their completed works to their parents on a get-together day. This will be followed by a guided tour of the plant and an information event on the training professions. All students will receive a certificate of attendance as well as photos of their time there.
