Foreman Production ring rolling mills

After vocational training, further training as an industrial master craftsman and many years of professional experience, I joined thyssenkrupp rothe erde in 2007. After a short training period I was appointed foreman of a new, ultra-modern rolling line. There I organize the daily production process, the assignments of employees and the quality of the products.

My challenge

Due to the variety of products and the ever increasing quality requirements of our customers, it never gets boring.

My typical working day

After taking over from the foreman of the previous shift, in the course of which I get to know all the details and special features of the current production, I go onto the shop floor and tell the employees the appropriate information for the day. I supervise production and the quality of the products, and I provide feedback on production using the PC at my desk in the office.

"engineering. tomorrow. together." Together means for me …

… to pass on my knowledge to the employees, the exchange of knowledge of experienced and young employees. According to the motto: For one another and not against each other. In this way, production can be sustainably maintained at a high level.

Realizing your potential, having fun, being happy

Even after more than 30 years of working life, I still want to learn a lot. I am very satisfied with my job. My slogan is: If you are not going forward, you must be slipping back. The future needs movement.

My training at the former Hoesch Stahl AG in Dortmund was a matter of honor for me. After all, my grandfather and my father had already worked in the steel processing plants in Dortmund for decades. In my training as a process mechanic, I learned a lot for life in the trainee workshop and in the various companies.
